Kelham Island Museum

See one of the few remaining Crucible Works in Sheffield.

 

This building was a Crucible Furnace for Russell Works, owned by the saw makers Messers Wheatman and Smith.

Opening Times

Tue-Sat 10am-4pm | Sun 11am-4pm

We’re unable to run the River Don Engine on Sun 23 Jun due to a leak on the condensation pipe. We’re sorry if you were hoping to see it in action, our Historic Engineering team are working on the problem and we’ll have it back in steam as soon as possible.

The Upper Transport Gallery and Simplex Car display will be closed for events on Sat 15, Sat 22 & Sat 29 Jun.
