Kelham Island Museum

A self-guided trail aimed at adults, with responses and interpretation by Xenia Women's Group, Sheffield.

 

Over 6 months Xenia Women’s Group participants, staff and volunteers took part in object handling, creative writing and research activities, and shared stories about their working life with Sheffield Museums.

This co-produced trail is a way to explore the displays and to consider and celebrate the role of women in industry.

Xenia is a community providing a safe space for women from all different backgrounds to meet together to connect, share and learn.

See the River Don Engine in steam Thu-Sun, 12pm & 2pm, any exceptions are below

***We're unable to run the River Don Engine on Sun 20 Sep due to a fault in one of the pipes that serve it. We're sorry if you were hoping to see it in steam, we're working to resolve the issue and have the engine back in action as soon as we can***
