Kelham Island Museum

See one of the few remaining Crucible Works in Sheffield.

 

This building was a Crucible Furnace for Russell Works, owned by the saw makers Messers Wheatman and Smith.

Tue-Sat 10am-4pm | Sun 11am-4pm

Closed Mondays including Bank Holidays

***The Upper Transport Gallery and Simplex Car display are closed for events on the following Saturdays: 5, 12 & 19 Sep***

See the River Don Engine in steam Thu-Sun, 12pm & 2pm, any exceptions are below

***The River Don Engine will not run on Thu 27 Aug due to essential boiler maintenance. It will not run on Sat 29 or Sun 30 Aug due to staff illness. The engine will run as normal on Fri 28 Aug***
