Kelham Island Museum

See one of the few remaining Crucible Works in Sheffield.

 

This building was a Crucible Furnace for Russell Works, owned by the saw makers Messers Wheatman and Smith.

Opening Times

Tue-Sat 10am-4pm | Sun 11am-4pm

Closed Mondays including Bank Holidays

***The Upper Transport Gallery and Simplex Car display are closed for essential maintenance until Fri 26 Jun and for an event on Sat 11 Jul***

See the River Don Engine in steam at 12pm and 2pm, Thursday – Sunday (see above for any exceptions)

The River Don Engine Room will be closed on Tue 14 & Wed 15 Jul while we paint the floor and reopen on Thu 16 Jul.
