Connecting with Collections What Do Our Memories Mean to Us

A group of seven people sat in a curved row in a gallery space, with framed images visible on the walls behind them. People are smiling and look happy

Join us at Kelham Island Museum to consider big ideas such as memory, knowledge and truth.

We’ll use the Exhibition Pod's Sheffield Project photography exhibition to stimulate new thinking for an informal but in-depth conversation, prompted by the question: what do our memories mean to us?

As part of a group, you’ll explore Sheffield’s collections and consider how they resonate today. This is philosophical enquiry – collaborative thinking, talking and listening to build our understanding. Enjoy exploring ideas with others in a setting steeped in history.

All are welcome, no experience necessary.

"Really interesting to share thoughts and ideas with others like this. The facilitator also did a really good job of running the group and ensuring that everyone got their say. I really had no idea what to expect – but would very happily come to another of these." - previous attendee

Everything we do is made possible by you – please donate £5 to help care for Sheffield’s collections and celebrate the remarkable stories they tell
