Wednesday Art Club - June and July 2024

Hang out, be inspired, make art at our weekly evening art club for young people aged 11-14 years at the Millennium Gallery.

You’ll begin each session in the modern Millennium Gallery with a deep dive into a different piece each week. You’ll learn about artworks, styles, techniques, artists and their inspiration. Then, you’ll get creative and try out techniques based on what you've learned. You’ll use the materials provided to create your own piece. It’s a great opportunity to try out different artistic media and styles in a friendly setting.

These classes are a fun way for young people to engage with art, discover the history of some of the museum's collection and improve your creative skills.

Week 3: Metal Embossing 

Week 4: Steel City 

Week 5: Table 

Week 6: Hybrid 

All materials are provided and we welcome all abilities.

These workshops run weekly during term time and a single ticket covers all 6 sessions.

Sessions take place on Wednesdays, 5 - 7pm at the Millennium Gallery on the following dates:

5 Jun, 12 Jun, 19 Jun, 26 Jun, 3 Jul and 10 Jul. 

Exclusively for young people aged 10 - 14 years old (school Year 6 to Year 9).
