Join SHARE (Sheffield Anti-Racist Education) at Weston Park Museum for a thought-provoking event on overcoming imperial amnesia: the case for decolonising our schools and museums.

  • Reflections on the continuing relevance of Eric Williams’ ‘Capitalism and Slavery’: Rob Cotterell (SADACCA) 
  • Decolonising the school geography curriculum: Shaakirah Kasuji (Bosworth Academy, Desford, Leicestershire) & Chris Winter (SHARE) 
  • Decolonising teacher education - Sheffield’s hidden geography and history: Mark Cottingham (UOS School of Education), Courtenay Crichton-Turley (Roots & Futures) and SHARE 
  • Sheffield Museums: Sharing Global Narratives: Cheryl Bowen, Anita Hamlin & Emma Paragreen (Sheffield Museums Trust)
