Drop-In Workshop: Stitch a Fish with Ecostitchers

Sat 16 November 2024 , 11am-3pm

Weston Park Museum

Drop in and make a fish out of recycled materials, fabrics, scraps and papers. If you fancy it, we’ll show you how to add some stitches!

We want to celebrate the return of fish to Sheffield’s rivers, while trying to keep the waters clean for our fish to thrive. You’re also welcome to come and chat to us about Ecostitchers’ work. Everyone of all ages and abilities is welcome.

Ecostitchers is an exhibiting group of textile artists based in and around the Peak District. They produce a wide variety of high quality and innovative textile art exploring environmental and climate change. The group tries to work in an environmentally conscious and sustainable way, using materials that they already have, repurposing, reusing, recycling and sharing amongst the group rather than simply buying new.
