Wednesday Art Club

Wed 21 February - Wed 27 March 2024 , 5pm-7pm

Graves Gallery

Hang out, be inspired, make art at our weekly evening art club for young people aged 11-14 years at the Graves Gallery.

You’ll begin each session in the beautiful Graves Art Gallery with a deep dive into a different painting each week. You’ll learn about artworks, styles, techniques, artists and their inspiration. Then, you’ll get creative and try out techniques based on the artwork that week. You’ll use the materials provided to create your own piece. It’s a great opportunity to try out different art mediums and develop your artistic practice in a relaxed setting each week.

These classes are an enjoyable way to engage with artwork, discover the history of some of the museum's collection and improve your art skills.

Week 1: Monuments

Week 2: Treasure

Week 3: Black and White

Week 4: Faces

Week 5: Spring

Week 6: Change

All materials are provided and we welcome all abilities.

These workshops run weekly during term time and a single ticket covers all 6 sessions.

Sessions take place on Wednesdays at the Graves Gallery on the following dates:

21 Feb, 28 Feb, 6 March, 13 March, 20 March , 27 March

Exclusively for young people aged 11-14 years.

* * Please note that the April and May Wednesday Art Club sessions will take place at the Millennium Gallery. **
