Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet

The furnished Manager's House gives a glimpse into home life for a lower middle-class family in the late 1800s.

 

Originally built around 1838, the house has stables adjoining it and just opposite, which reflects the importance of horse-drawn transport for a works of this size and location.

***The Hamlet is currently closed until spring 2024 as we begin a two-year series of improvement works. The café, Joni, is open as usual.***
