Pop-up Exhibition: Stories from the Pandemic - A Lasting Testimony from Sheffield

Sat 25 February - Sun 5 March 2023

Millennium Gallery

We are all living through a world-historical event. No community has been untouched by the pandemic. In a very real sense, we are finding our way through this together. But the experience of living through such a global, universal event is particular to every individual living it.

Stories from the Pandemic is a city wide project led by Opus, in partnership with Compassionate Sheffield and Sheffield City Council. This 10 day mixed media exhibition, set in rooms of homes during lockdown, draws from the extensive range of stories that have been gathered during the project. These will form a lasting testimony and historical record of the pandemic’s impact on the individuals and the communities they live in and will feed into the city's wider memorial activity. There will be a free programme of creative workshops and Compassionate Conversations to offer people a chance to reflect, share their stories and build confidence to support others through hard times.
