Stencil, paint and draw onto a selection of different fabrics and learn about the history behind Sheffield’s local luxury textile company, Painted Fabrics Ltd.
With the motto “Work not Charity”, Painted Fabrics Ltd employed ex-servicemen in painting and printing a varied range of textiles that were then made into clothing and household items for sale. Explore this collection in the display at the museum and then create your own patterns and designs inspired by this story.
