We are looking to appoint an experienced, reputable, and reliable company to undertake refurbishment and access improvement works at Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet.

The Embrace Abbeydale project, funded by a major grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, alongside further support from Sheffield City Council and the J G Graves Charitable Trust, begins an exciting new chapter in Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet's remarkable story.

Sheffield Museums seeking to engage a contractor to carry out refurbishment and access improvement works at Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet, as part of the Embrace Abbeydale project.

Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet is a Scheduled Monument and includes Grade I, Grade II* and Grade II listed buildings.

The areas requiring works are:

  • Internal renovation of the former workers' cottages, to create a new space for an exhibition space and shop.
  • Regrading of the ramp access to the Manager's House garden and external repointing to the house.
