NEW: Welcome Hub & Shop

Continuing Display

Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet

Start your visit in the Hamlet’s new Welcome Hub – find out about its history, try our activities for families and pick up a must-have gift in the new shop.

In the Welcome Hub, you can find out more about this 18th century water-powered steel scythe works and explore some of the stories behind the people who lived and worked here. Our younger visitors also have the chance to get hands-on with interactive activities inspired by the Hamlet’s history and the local natural environment, including our new Explorer backpacks.

The Welcome Hub is also home to new Hamlet Shop, full of great present ideas – pick up locally sourced gifts and Sheffield made food as well as toys, greetings cards and more.

The Welcome Hub is generously supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and thanks to National Lottery players.
