Join us for this family-friendly event to share the joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival and celebrate Hong Kong cultural traditions, with lots of hand-on activities to have a go at over the course of the day.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, or Moon Festival, originates from ancient Chinese agricultural society, honouring the harvest and fostering gratitude. Traditionally celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, it's a time for family reunions, moon appreciation, and enjoying mooncakes. In modern times, Hongkongers blend traditional customs with contemporary activities, such as lantern displays, interactive lighting activities, games, crafts and innovative mooncake variations, ensuring the festival's relevance and vibrancy.
This is a cultural community event organised by Re-Water CIC.
