WPM 150: Let’s Celebrate! Weston Park Museum’s Birthday Party

Join us to wish Weston Park Museum many happy returns as we celebrate its 150th birthday with a fun-packed, fundraising extravaganza! 

On the day, you can expect a whole host of family-friendly activities, including face painting, party games, performances, a kids disco, craft activities and more!  

• See incredible balloon art created in in front of your eyes by the brilliant Kenneth’s Balloons at 11.30am and 2.30pm.  
• Prepare to be dazzled at our mini magic shows at 11am and 3pm  
• Get your face painted as your favourite animal, superhero or whatever you choose!  
• Show your best moves on the dancefloor at the kids disco (including all your favourite party games, of course) from 12.30pm to 2.30pm, thanks to Sheffield Kids Parties. 
• Get creative in our craft activities and make your own birthday card for the museum, which we’ll put on display!  
• Take a selfie with a Viking and get packed with historic facts with the experts from Wessex Archaeology in the Beneath Your Feet gallery.  
• Get hands-on with amazing artefacts from the museum stores and meet our curators, who will tell you all about them.  
• Track down the mischievous Marvellous Museum Mice in our new family trail  
• Have a go at winning a prize in our birthday raffle  
• Round off your day with a stop off at our cafe, Ambulo, for a delicious slice of birthday cake. You’ll be able to pick up a special birthday box with a sandwich, birthday cupcake, packet of crisps and a tea or a coffee for just £10. Plus, our baker will be whipping up some special celebration cakes especially for the event!
