Explore paper cutting and paper sculpture with artist Bethan Maddocks, to make your own original paper cut bird-inspired artwork.
You’ll learn paper cutting techniques using a variety of papers and tools (scalpels and scissors) as well as exploring mark making.
Guided by Bethan, there’ll be templates to use and the opportunity to create your own design - bring along your own ideas and images to create a one-off artwork.
All materials are provided. No experience required
Bethan Maddocks is a visual artist who works with light, paper, fabric and found objects to create large scale, interactive sculpture and installations that play with paper cutting and shadows. Often exploring ideas around biodiversity and ecology she has exhibited across the country with organisations such as Chatsworth House, Northumberland National Park and The National Trust.
