Kelham Makes: Make Your Own Leather Pouch

Wed 28 January 2026 , 6pm-8:30pm

Kelham Island Museum

In this workshop, you’ll create your own unique leather pouch, perfect for storing jewellery or coins in.

Guided by expert tutor Laura Hunter of Tiska Leatherwork, you’ll learn how to cut and prep your leather, smooth and burnish it, and stamp it to create a personalised pouch to store your precious items or give as a unique gift.

Laura has been a leather worker and leather restorer for over 10 years and combines making with repairing. Her workshop is based in Hayfield, Derbyshire where she designs and makes leather accessories as well as repairing handbags, clothing and leather car interiors.
