A Supporter membership has a minimum 12-month term – payments will auto-renew at the end of the term, just like a mobile phone contract, but you’ll have the option to cancel at any time. Cancelling your membership is easy – find out how in the Supporters FAQs at the bottom of this page.

Our Discover Supporters help send people on learning journeys that last a lifetime.
Join as a Discover Supporter for £45 a year (£35 for those in receipt of means-tested state benefits) and you could help us to:
As a Connect Supporter, you’ll help people understand their past, learn from each other’s experiences and find their place in the world today.

Connect Supporters will enjoy an opportunity to get closer to the collections and the stories behind them themselves through a special museum insights event each year.
As part of our Innovate Circle, you’ll be playing a vital role in our work to make a positive difference in our city.

The Supporters who are closest to our work, our Innovate Circle will receive regular updates from our Directors, as well as the chance to meet and chat with them about our latest work to best serve the city and its people. The Innovate Circle will also enjoy opportunities to get closer to the collections they help us care for and the stories behind them.
When you sign up, you’ll make your initial payment via Go Cardless, either as a one-off or a recurring monthly payment. In the month before your membership due to renew, we’ll get in touch to remind you about your renewal and confirm your ongoing membership. If for any reason you’re unable to continue your support, you can let us know and we’ll cancel your renewal and your forthcoming payments.
By adding Gift Aid, you’ll be making an even bigger difference to the people we serve. If you’re a UK taxpayer, just complete the Gift Aid declaration survey we send you – we can then claim an extra 25p for every £1 of your membership, all at no extra cost to you!

Throughout the year there may be additional opportunities to support appeals related to our work – we’ll include these in the newsletters we send you.
If you’d like to pay a regular amount not listed in our membership options just let us know and we can arrange that.
If you decide you’re unable to continue your support for any reason, cancelling your membership is straightforward. All you need to do is email us at fundraising@sheffieldmuseums.org.uk with the name the Supporter membership is under and we’ll cancel the payment renewal and email you to confirm your membership has been discontinued.
Yes, our Volunteering opportunities are open to everyone. We recruit new volunteers at various times during the year – you can find out more about volunteering opportunities and how it supports our work here
